tag save takes 45 seconds

Saving a new tag takes about 45 seconds. Saving an existing tag takes no time at all. Is there a fault in the tag save?

Tested against a number of computers and browsers.

I had the same problem yesterday as well. I'm not sure myself towards the reason why it takes 45 seconds.

I have noticed the same. I am adding it to the action list for the whole Challenge checker project that will get most/all attention the coming weeks.

UPDATE:

A fix has been made in the development environment now. Time reduced from 45 seconds to 1-2 seconds.

There was a bug when creating new tags that it reindexed ALL tags for full text searching. It was only supposed to index the new tag of course.

Editing tags used the same code, but in that case it worked fine.

I have seem that for a while but i assume that is was som special corner case when i have many tags on my checkers and it have not bothered me when i have not tagger that many new challenges

I have used the workaround that if you refresh the page after you wait for a few seconds the tag is created and the page loads quicker. So the but is not in the saving part but something that stalls the reload of the page
