Would it be possible to design a tool to visit a cache with several TBs similar to the tool to discover several TBs? [closed]

When you go to log a cache on geocaching.com, you get a list of all the trackables that are currently registered as being in your possession (your inventory). You can then select individually which ones to visit in the cache (or use the shortcut "Visit all" in the bottom of the page). Are you asking for a feature different from this ?

Yes, different from this, or better said, with the additional task to be able to enter a log text for the trackables with which you visit the cache. Doing this visit function as offered by geocaching.com leaves all the visiting trackables with an empty log text. It would be great to have such an additional functionality ( as it is given with the discover trackables tool from project-gc.com).

The Greasemonkey (https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/greasemonkey/) script GC little helper (https://www.amshove.net/blog/webinterfaces/gc-little-helper/) has got 2 features which could help you:

  • Auto visit for trackables
  • Signatures for trackable logs

After a check of Greasemonkey GClh I must say that the two described features make life easier, but only a little bit.
What I imagine and propose to design is a tool similar to the project-gc-tool "discover TBs/GCs" where you need 3 parameters:
- a signature for the cache visit with a trackable (as in the discover tool)
- a list of visiting trackables (at least 1) - (as in the discover tool)
- a list of visited caches (at least 1) - additionally needed for logging visits
This would allow many visit logs with minimal effort.

I used this script for several months, but it didn't keep what it promised. The firefox browser lost a lot of its performance by it and I removed it to gain back the speed of the browser.
