How do I find number of cache hides per US state?

I would like to see the number of caches hides in all US states and there ranking. Thank you.

I don't think it is possible now. The lowest where you can get now is to the level of US: https://project-gc.com/Statistics/Overview?country=United+States&submit=Filter

Wow, some of these figures are quite impressive. However only the top two (CA and TX) have more caches than the two largest states in Germany (NW and BY) while RI is at position 47... Very nice list, thanks!

Could a possible workaround be to use the PQ splitter by state, and check how many are proposed? It would require some manual work to get the ranking though.

I just tried myself and using the PQ splitter I found 3,798 Geocaches for RI (guess this will be one of the lower ranking ones...)

That would require really a lot of work, given that there is over 1 million caches in US together.

Well - not as much as this number could imply as you only have to do one split for each of the 50 states, and of course copy the total # into a spreadsheet for further manipulation. The ready-made statistics are indeed the easier way of course ;-)
