Challenge exceptions: Allow to hide achieved caches from list

Question

Currently the Challenge exceptions are listing archived caches to be voted on.

Since it does not improve the current geocaching game play to check on archived challenges I would like these to be removed from the list of caches to be voted on!

Also archived caches can be challenges and they show up as them in various statistics so they need to be properly sorted, even though, it has certainly lower priority than active caches. I would not recommend removing them, but either allow hiding them or list them below active ones.

I have never heard of this. What is a challenge exception? Where on PGC do I find them?

Challenge exceptions are the caches which either are challenge caches which are not Unknown type or don't have the word "Challenge" in the title, or caches which aren't challenges which do meet those two criteria. I agree that introducing the option to hide archived caches is the better option than to totally remove them from the list.

As Jakuje says, the Exceptions are needed for archived challenges as well, for statistical purposes.

Given that exceptions are needed for statistical purposes, and that challenge caches are being considered as their own cache type, then it is just as important to correctly classify archived caches as it is to classify active caches. I suggest there is no need to hide them from the list.
