Hello over there,

since a few weeks project-gc is asking for authentication every single day, sometimes even twice a day.
I already revoked the authentication via gc.com's settings and made it completely new from scratch at project-gc, but to no avail.

Is this a general or just a local problem - and if the latter, do you have an idea how to fix it?

Thx a lot in advance!

Cheers, Mag'

I don't know if this adresses your problem but the mechanism with which project-gc identifies you relies on cookies. If for some reason your browser is set to delete all cookies on exit (or daily), you lose your logged in status.

Do you use the browser to "stay logged in" at other sites or is this specific to project-gc ?

EDIT: I also get thrown off a lot more frequently than usual. There may be a problem with keeping OAuth state synced between geocaching.com and project-gc.

Anyone with something more insightful to add ?

Cookies have been my first guess, too, thus I already checked this twice, but there is no clearance configured.

Moreover this seems to be specific to project-gc - other sites like e. g. gc.com or a tb-logger cause no problems at all.
