Virtual gps lasso automatically closes before I am ready

When using the virtual gps (PGC VGPS control) as I hold down on the mouse button before I can complete my lasso selection it closes the loop before I am ready to close. It is like it auto closes at its first opportunity. Therefore i have to select another lasso selection. Is there a way to stop auto closer until I release the mouse button?
