Can someone shed any light on what exactly these are, or how they are calculated?

I have a gut feeling that perhaps these may be related to how many times other people use the Challenge Checker on one of your own caches?

Maybe that is true (or not) but equally there may be other aspects of usage that contribute to these points?

Thank you in advance.

It is not just related to Challenge-checker usage of other cachers.

Challenge-checker usage has an own category:

You earn "Site activity points" if you use all the other statistics or tools on the site. Like all kind of Find-stats or Map-based tools.

Don't know how the count. But you get about 0.05 points a day by using about 10 different statistic or tools provided by project-gc.

Thanks for your comments.
I know about the Challenge checker usage, but that is for you using challenge checkers, whereas I'm talking about other people using challenge checkers on your own caches. My observation is based on the difference in PGC points between myself and a friend of mine who has way more Site Activity Points than I do, but one of the main differences is that they have a heck of a lot more Puzzle caches than I do. But as I say, that might be me putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5?

I keep an eye on my PGC points levels almost on a daily basis.  I am like you @TwigNZ, I am curious about what activities gain points, frequency, and what increments.  You may have already read through the following link https://project-gc.com/qa/?qa=23862/pgc-points-next-level where I outlined the categories where I have earned points.  Some are static whereas others are dynamic and continue to increase based on activities of others or myself.

Regarding your specific question whether someone using your checker on a challenge cache will raise your points, I can't test that because I have no challenges or puzzles published yet but I recommend taking a snapshot of your PGC points and then have your friends go in and use your challenge checkers.  See what category increases and by how much.  I do know that if 1 friend repeatedly uses the same checker over and over it will only count one time toward points.  Another person it would only count once. I tested this using other checkers.

@suptertwinfan has already listed one of the categories but my findings concluded that it is not limited on how much you gain in a day.  The dynamic changes are based on usage and participation and the points can increase a lot in one day across the dynamic categories. For example, I used the site a lot one day and gained 0.30 points on my site activity using tools and resources.  The next day I didn't gain anything because I only used a couple tools once.

I found  your challenge and used the checker.  It went from 125 qualified to 126 and the not qualified remains at 50.

I don't know if just one usage like that will show up in your PGC points stats.
My Site Activity Points has been stuck on 1.55 points for so long I can't remember when it last changed.
Thanks for using my challenge checker. I will keep an eye out for any change in my points after the next daily update.
Update: My Site Activity points just went up by 0.05 ! I think I will conduct an experiment using my published Challenge Checker to see if it happens again in which case I was right, or at least partly right as there may still be other things that affect that particular points set :)
I just used your checker once again.  It now shows 127 qualified and 50 not qualified.  Check your Site Activity stats tomorrow to see if it has increased again.

So, if I win the lottery I will be able to go find your cache once New Zealand lets people from Texas visit, LOL.  OK, I know, don't quite my day job but these days it is difficult to find anything funny about life.

Keep in mind, I do not have any challenge checkers working for me so all I can do is use other checkers.  My site activity did go up from yesterday and when I was using a lot of checkers in the past, I did notice the site activity was increasing steadily.

I would recommend to proove my idea. Check and copy you site activity points

Please use 15 different statistic and tools from the project-gc like
- https://project-gc.com/Statistics/Top
- https://project-gc.com/Statistics/TopElevation
- https://project-gc.com/Tools/MapCounties
-https://project-gc.com/Tools/MapHiddenMonth
and some others to get more than 10 or 15.

You will see that your Site activity points will raise by using project-gc after one day (paid membership).

The funny thing is that I have been using loads of the tools frequently for over a week now due to my trying to gather info regarding my other Community Support query about Active Cachers.
I have used multiple times (typically anywhere from 5 to 20 times) the General Overview, Top Logged, Top Finders, Top Days, Logs over Date, Top Hidden, Top Karma and a few others.
During all this time my Site Activity Points have remained static.
I was expecting them to be affected by my usage, but they weren't hence my query about what actually constitutes Site Activity.
I'm just one of those annoying people who loves stats, but they are worthless if you don't truly understand them :)
