What is going on with all these Checker related posts? [closed]

I was under the impression that checker traffic was to be handled on the checker forum at the following link https://project-gc.com/forum/index?3.  Why are they being answered here?

Even more perplexing is they were requests from 5 to 6 years ago.

I noted this - I checked a few and saw no reason that these were being 'answered' - they are correctly found in this section of the forum as they are old posts but as all have been dealt with and as many of them are in fact now archived - the answering does seem a futile exercise.

Thanks for checking more of them and confirming.  It would be helpful if these threads were closed and, if possible, archived or hidden.

I do not see any point resurrecting the 5 years old posts resurrecting the challenge checker requests, especially, when the caches are frequently archived. When it was just couple of them, I hand-waived, but today, they already take most of the home page. If there will be no objections, I will hide them altogether

If somebody has a need to clean up the unanswered question list and finds an question that is no longer useful, please let me or other moderator know, either directly by email or through the "flag" button under the question and I can get rid of it.

Please, flag them as I wrote above. I will review the flags from time to time. I could also go through all of the 18 pages, but there is still many questions that might deserve some attention.

If I'm not mistaken, the separate forum for challenge checkers started in 2016.
So, these requests from 2015 were correctly posted on this forum, but never answered.
I'm thinking WanderingExplorer is just going over the list of "Unanswered" questions and responding to them, which bumps the topic up to the top of the list.

OK, I can understand that but it's cluttering up the intake of this Q & A making it difficult to spot the new questions.  These threads are so old that they have almost turned to granite.  Besides, after looking up the latest 2, the logs posted already know about the checker so this is superfluous and I suspect the others are similar.  Wouldn't the COs of these challenges already know about these checkers since so many years have elapsed?

Yes, AxelFox is correct, I thought I was helping to get to these unanswered questions addressed thinking others were too busy to officially address them. Thought I was doing a good thing sorry if it cluttered up the intake. Maybe they can be closed or removed now.

Yes - all the challenges in question have the respective checkers on their pages - so as I have said previously seems the answering them now is a pointless exercise

Maybe to get them off the "unanswered" list, or maybe to help bump up PGC points since most everything in here is already answered?  This is pretty much the only place I get any decent points, so that wouldn't be too far fetched.
