Challenge Idea

Hello,

I want to share an idea for a challenge cache here before posting a checker request as I am still working on the idea. Can you do a challenge that would be setup like "Find 1000 caches within 100 miles of St, Louis Missouri?" If so, would you set a specific coordinate for the center point? Thanks!

I would say that such a challenge would not be publishable since user-defined geographical areas are not allowed.

It says on the challenge guidelines page " Challenge cache criteria may be based upon these geographic areas: countries, states/provinces, counties (or their local equivalent)"

Could I amend it to say 1000 caches within -- and then add all of the counties within that 100 mile radius?"

Just trying to get a feel for what kind of things are allowed.

We have seen several 'Find X number of caches within Y county' published over the last couple of years - so this latter idea would seem fine

Yes, this one should be fine. I have some caches that require at least one find in different counties that are alongside the coast(s) of germany (north sea, baltic sea and both)...
