Suggestion for improvement: Add a button to copy the "Example log" generated by the checker

Question

This small improvement might encourage geocachers to use this button to copy the "Example log" contents and paste it into their log as proof of qualification.

Also, currently, we can't see the whole "Example log" contents because the TextArea is too small. We need to manually enlarge the TextArea, then "Select all" and "Copy" to copy the "Example log" contents.

Perhaps this TextArea should automatically enlarge according to its contents as is the case for the "Script output" TextArea.

Clicking anywhere in the example log field the pressing ctrl-a then ctrl-c is a very fast way to copy that content.

Yes I know but people don't do it. I see this new "Copy" button as an incentive to copy the example log.

Anyway, "Copy" button or not, it would be nice if the "Example log" TextArea chould automatically enlarge according to its contents as is the case for the "Script output" TextArea. Currently, we can't see the whole content of the "Example log".

You are right about incentive. But I always thought that the labeling and mechanism was wrong to start with. There should be a log for success that can be copy and pasted (if appropriate) to the log, and a fail message that includes help for the person to identify what is needed to progress the challenge. Relabeling the first field would go a long way to addressing that. (eg to "Qualifying details:")

And yes, a copy button would help with that.

Many scripts do a poor job of this, putting the qualifying details into the HTML output instead, where it is hard to copy and paste the results. But changing the field name (and having the copy button) would encourage script writers to prduce better qualifying result details.

Hi,

had the same idea yet.  For geocaching.com I use GCLittle helper II  This script adds severals small buttons to items on the GC website that may be worth copying: 

GC Name, Coords etc.

I am missing this litte button on the project-gc website, because copying with ctrl-a works in the example log only. And a lot of these example logs are to big for the personal note. If you just want to copy the text:

XXX erfüllt die Challenge Challenge Favorit Tradi (GC983X4) gemäß https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC983X4/xxx

you have to mark the text and to copy it manually.  A small icon would be a big improvement.
