Is there a way to see a list of caches in a given territory that have the longest period between publication and the FTF? Thank you in advance for any help!

Sorry, this statistic is not available. I don't know of any easy way of collecting it, other that scanning each cache one by one.

Hi Seagnoid,

Thank you for taking the time to let me know. I was just curious as I placed an (admittedly hard-to-reach) earthcache off the UK coast over two months ago and the FTF still hasn't been claimed. It would have been interesting to be able to see what the record time between publication and FTF is in the region of this cache (southwest England). I know that there's one in the Mariana Trench that has not been logged since publication in 2021..

Oh well, if it's not possible to check then that's that.

Again, thanks for taking the time to respond!
There is a cache in Scarborough that hasn't been found since it was published in 2012
In fact I have just done a search on GC and have found 637 hidden before 11/5/2017 (I just picked a date) that are unfound - the oldest being nearly 22 years

If you would like to look at your own finds, then that statistic is available. There is a not-a-checker that gives the number of days from your FTF find to the date the cache was published. See https://project-gc.com/Challenges//81639

There are lots of other odd stats available, built using the checker system. See https://project-gc.com/w/Tools_in_the_checker_system.

But there is no statistic anywhere that compares across all finders.
