Last weekend, I tried the new feature of sharing lists, but as my test person (later on tour) told me, it can only be used, if one is premium member of pgc.

In detail he told be, that he got a notification in the pgc postbox about "being added" to one of my lists, but couldn't access it, because of being only basic user of PGC. I was really surprised and think, that this is a bug.

IMHO I think, its ok that the sharing initiator of a list might be in need to be PGC premium (that's me :-) ),
but I really expect to decide freely to whom to share a list.

The VGPS as such is a function that is only available for paying members. Perhaps there should be some extra text in the notifications sent to non-paying members that are being sent a sharing notification from VGPS that this is a paying-only function and that there are 10-day trial memberships available=

please see my arguments below (@ganja1447 comment).

Result: Then its worthless to add PGC-nonpremiums to such a list. Pressure to become premium does not have the wanted effect....

This is correct. To use VGPS one has to be a paying member, therefore one can't use a shared list either. The message about the list sharing also states this: "To be able to use it, you have to be a paying member at Project-GC"

This is definitely not a bug. Though I would agree to that it could be discussed if non paying members could have read-only access. But our current decision is a no to that.

Too bad, but it is for sure your decision, that any! of the users of a shared list need to be PGC premium.

Please think again about my proposal, that only the list provider needs to be premium. In my geocaching-relationships (I've talked to some more people after this failed test) this hurdle wouldn't make more premium users, but I loose a valuable function.
