Why is  Project-gc updating so later and later every day, today it´s 21.55 and no update?  I have paid my membership.

There is no set time for updates. There's a check each hour to see if your profile is over 24 hours past an update. If so, it's put in a queue for updates for that hour. Then it takes a little while to process that queue, and that time will vary depending on how much our servers (and Groundspeak's servers) have to do at the moment). That means that your profile gets a new timestamp which is somewhat later than it was yesterday. After 24 hours, you are put in the next update batch, but since that batch takes some time to process, your timestamp will slowly creep forward.

Aha, that is how it works. Thank you for the quick answer.
If the update is done later each day, then there will inevitably come a day when it isn't updated at all (albeit the next update will occur soon after midnight on the following day). Would it be possible to check if the profile is over 23 or 23.5 hours past an update and then add it to the queue? That way we get the 24 hour updates that we pay for. Alternatively, allow users to manually request updates (at periods of no less than 24 hours), and only automatically schedule them if the profile is (for example) 48 or 72 hours out of date.

What`s the difference between an early update or a late update. Ain`t it nice to see a updated profile when you just woke up? wink

I assume this time is well chosen, less activity at the side improves the speed. It takes lots of data to update all the accounts.

I just ask!  It would maybe be better if you do it by yourself, when you have a reason to do it. That will save some data!
