Copy and Paste with only one " in Cache name

Question

When I copy and paste into an excel spreadsheet, a list created in BETA Virtual-GPS, a single quotation mark (like "Korth Trailhead View) places all of the following cache info into a single cell until another cache with a quotation mark is found.  Doesn't seem to be a problem when the info is exported as a CSV file.

Unless I misunderstand what you mean, that sounds like a problem with Excel.

Have not used excel but in libre office you can select what characters are delimiters when loading csv. There probably exist options like that excel.  

 

csv=Comma-separated values defined in http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc4180

 

The name cache line is as below and " is escaped as "" like the standard describes. The problem is with the excel import not with the csv.

Try to open the csv file with excel instead of pasting the datat into it it might help. Libre office give options for delimitere on both paste and open

I haven't used excel for many years. But I remember there being a difference between these two:

1. Open file, choose csv file
2. Create empty spread sheet, data, import data, choose csv file

The later one gives more options, which might help. As others have stated, the csv file itself is correct, the issue is with the import.
