Ok, I wanted to put this out there, in case there's some kind of underlying issue. Basically, some of my Find stats have updated, but others haven't.

I currently have 2088 finds. The last of these was an FTF yesterday (28 June), which is the only FTF I've had in June. It was also my only find yesterday.

Bearing this in mind, my PGC stats (I'm a premium member of PGC) currently say:

  • 2087 finds on 2087 unique geocaches
  • Data from 2015-06-29 (today)
  • Most consecutive months with an FTF:  15, from April 2014 to June 2015

The last one indicates that my FTF log on yesterday's cache has been picked up (because I have no other FTFs in June 2015), but the find hasn't been added to my total. Furthermore, despite the FTF log being picked up, it isn't listed on the FTF tab with my other FTFs.

Oh and if you add up all the finds on my Maps tab, it comes to 2088.

Now, I'm sure it'll all sort itself out tomorrow when the data is refreshed, but it's just a bit odd that one part of my stats has been updated, but the rest hasn't (despite it saying the data is from today, and therefore up to date).

I also had this from time to time. I assume the update procedure is not really taking a snapshot of your data, but rather goes through it for updating different aspects of the statistics. As this takes some time, it may happen that a new log is not included in some aspects of the stats, but appears while other aspects are updated at a later point in time.

Seeing the continuous questions and discussion about the updating, which data is used and inconsistencies, it would be good if either the process is explained to the users so we have a chance to understand, or designed in a way that it becomes more obvious. I can imagine that the balance between updating asap and limitig the load on the GC.com API is difficult, but in the end this is still the main "product" of this site.

thanks for all the insights you are able to share!

Hi Paperballpark,

I am just curious if the data is correct with the update of tomorrow (June 30th).

Could you give us an update?

I have also seen in my statistics that sometimes it takes a day or two before all the numbers are correct.

regards
