When writing several usernotes to several caches, some of them may be changed unintentionally.

In the VGPS I entered some notes in usernote 1 (several caches with different notes). Then I marked a group of caches and wrote something in usernote 2. But when saving this, the notes in usernote 1 were also changed all to the same note.

Is this a bug or a feature? I think, it would be more useful if the usernotes could be changed independently.

I tried it: i worte some usernotes1 in some caches and then marked these caches and wrote a usernote 2, leaving usernote1 blank this time.
Usernote 1 is deleted (overwritten with blanks) and only usernote 2 remains.

I tried to use wildcards * in Usernote 1, but then it gets filled with *.. ;-)

I guess it's both a bug and a feature. In some cases, like yours, it's of course not ideal. But the alternative would be to never write "empty" notes, which would then make it impossible to remove notes.

But we are aware of that it's not ideal and would like to iterate on it (ie make it better).

An idea is to populates with the text if is all the same or something like "<multiple different values>" and only be cleared if that is removed.
Should not be that hard to implement
I agree with Target. This would be one possibily. Another possibility would be to implement more save buttons (one for each usernote). So for example if I press the button for usernote 2 only this one will be changed...
