Bad promotional code

Question

As I am writing a blog about geocaching (in Norwegian at the moment) I want to use the promotional code to route new geocachers to use project-GC. But when I try to use the code I get a "Bad promotional code" warning in the middle of the page.

Is it because I am the one using it? Or is it because there is a bug with my code? Perhaps someone on the forum will try it to see if they get the same response?

When I click on your link, I don't see any error. It is (probably) because you are trying to you "use" your own referral code, which does not make sense. Other users will not see such error.

When I try to use my own, I see the error too. You can re-check with mine: http://project-gc.com/r/f2487a39

It should work the same way for other users with your code.

Exactly. It's not possible to use your own code. (The error message should be better there, preferrably...)
