Style guide?
I've been thinking about the general style of writing of the wiki. Maybe a "style guide" would be a good thing? I don't think it has to be the gigantic Wikipedia Manual of Style, but some short pointers in a list format maybe? I opted to put it here since it would make sense to me if was a section of the welcome-page.
I'm thinking things like:
- Use "Project-GC", not "we" or "PGC". If copypasting from the main site rewrite the text to fit this.
- When creating a new page, try to include a link to a old page and add a category.
- Guidance for when to link to wiki-articles vs when to link to the main site when writing about tools etc.
- When creating a page for a top list or tool, use the URL-name for the main wiki-page and created redirects from the menu-name and the title on the site.
- Use bold and not italics to emphasize the name of the page in the article.
Mainly I realized that I have not been consistent with some of these things and if the goal is a manual I think consistency would make sense. :) It would be easier to make it happen now instead of making a huge rewrite when there is even more content. --Pleu (4523550) (talk) 14:43, 21 November 2020 (CET)
