Re: Jasmer Scoring Challenge

The Jasmer Scoring Challenge will score your Jasmer Grid. To pass the challenge you will need to score 100 points in every block and the block refers to total number of points per Year . The total score needed to for the challenge is at least 25,000 for the entire Matrix. The scoring is based on the number of finds you have for a particular year example 2000 and multiply that number by 17. For 2001 multiply that total number of finds time 16.

2002 x 15,2003 x14, 2004x13,2005 x 12,2006 x11, 2007 x 10,2008 x9, 2009 x 8, 2010 x 7, 2011 x 6, 2012 x 5, 2013 x4, 2014 x 3, 2015 x 2, 2016 x 1. Example we have logged 23 caches in the year 2000 that would be 391.00 points for 2000. The checker will do all the work for you. Cache is at posted coords and you may sign at any time. GC6Y9QA

Sorry I overlooked the score per block which had to be a min. of 100 point. The script I was using did not cater for this.

Only a "single Jasmer" challenge cache can be published. Requiring a number greater than one for each Jasmer grid month is not permitted. Sorry! I'd rather communicate this news early, before too much scripting occurs.

I can write the script, however please ask your local reviewer if this challenge can be published, see the reply of The Leprechauns.

However, as the year 2000 gives you 17 points per found and 2016 1 point per found, how you want to handle the following years? I'm suppose that you want to count X points where X is current year minus cache year plus one. However please confirm this equation.

Thanks for the help but i think you are right it would not pass even though you would not have do a cache in each month , but it would require at some point you do more than one. I do not like using the word require because it makes it sound like you have to do challenge caches no one makes anyone do any caches but i appreciate your help. I will have to get creative and come up with something else to award those who go after old caches.
