Would it be possible to delete checkers for which the corresponding cache has been archived or to highlight them in color? It happens over and over again that I use a checker that says that I have fulfilled the conditions. When I go to the listing of the cache, it says: Cache has been archived.
Example: GC5QJG7
in Feature requests by Grümscheler (1.7k points)
Not delete, but highlight. Even on the archived caches. One could have found the cache physically ages before, but but now waiting to fulfil the conditions so removing the checker should not really happen. As well as the cache owner should be interested in verifying that the cachers really fulfil the conditions, if they fail to provide reasonable proof (list of caches, screenshot ...).
Okay, highlight is better.
I probably misunderstood the rules of a challenge. I thought if I didn't meet the conditions, all I could do was write a note. And as soon as I have fulfilled the conditions, I have to be back on site and physically enter myself in the logbook. This is not possible if the box (of the challenge) has been archived, so I thought that the challenge is no longer possible.
Anyway, Thanks if highlighting is possible.
See the point 7 (Signing log) of the challenge rules: https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=127&pgid=206
I agree that highlighting is a better solution.  Many times, I find that a checker works for multiple challenges.  Deleting the checker would be akin to lost knowledge.  I really like the idea of reusing and recycling the checkers rather than deleting them.
I also think highlighting better, so you can use this checker again.
