The geocache icons on the map-based tools in Project-GC contain a lot of information about the cache.

Pgc-cache-icon.png This is a basic geocache icon for a Traditional cache. The icon inside the plate will be different for different cache types.
Pgc-cache-icon-found.png The upper right corner will have a smiley in it on found caches.
Pgc-cache-icon-owned.png The upper right corner can also have a star in it. The star shows that the authenticated user is the owner of the cache. If the user has found the cache only the star will be shown. Here you can also see an example of when the cache icon is an Unknown cache instead of a Traditional cache.
Pgc-cache-icon-corrected-cachenote.png The lower right corner can have a small pencil in it. This indicates that the user has a personal cache note on the cache.
Pgc-cache-icon-corrected-cachenote.png The lower left corner can have a small green checkbox in it. This shows that the user has corrected coordinates on it. These can be either from the corrected coordinates field at Geocaching.com, or parsed from a personal cache note.
Pgc-cache-icon-success.png The lower left corner can also show if the user have fulfilled a challenge cache or not, in the case where Project-GC have a challenge checker for the cache in question. This is indicated by a different kind of green checkbox, with a circle around it. The checker indicators has higher priority than the corrected coordinates indicator.
Pgc-cache-icon-fail.png The third variant for the lower left corner is to show that the user has not fulfilled the requirements for a challenge cache.
Pgc-cache-icon-notrun.png The fourth variant for the lower left corner is to show that the fulfilled/not fulfilled status of a challenge cache is not known yet.
Pgc-cache-icon-vgps.png The last corner, the upper left one, shows the user if the geocache has been added to their current Virtual GPS.
