Re: GC6YE23-Checker Request

[Resolved] GC6YE23-Checker Request
January 07, 2017 05:08AM
I would like to have a checker for a challenge cache that requires the following:
3000 or more total finds
300 or more nontraditional finds (combination of letterbox, multi, wherigo, mystery, events, webcam: anything with a logbook that isn't a traditional)
300 or more virtual finds (earthcache, virtual, reverse; anything without a logbook)

Can anyone help with this?

Can you be more precise on the non Traditional caches with or without a logbook
I.e.a webcam cache has no log book
Please spell out the cache types in full how you like to see this.

The guidelines are specifying: https://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx
LOGGING Guidelines: Logging Guidelines cover the requirements that must be fulfilled in order to log a find.
Logging of All Physical Geocaches
Logging of Non-Physical Geocaches
EarthCache Logging Guidelines
Virtual Cache Logging Guidelines
Webcam Cache Logging Guidelines
Event Cache Logging Guidelines: Any Event Cache (including Mega, Giga and CITO Events) can be logged online if the geocacher has attended the event. Event Cache owners can request that cachers sign a logbook, but this is optional and cannot be a requirement for logging an Event Cache.

Following these guidelines
Physical Geocaches are:
"Traditional Cache",
"Unknown Cache",
"Multi-cache",
"Letterbox Hybrid",
"Wherigo Cache",
"Project APE Cache"
Non-Physical Geocaches are:
"Event Cache",
"Earthcache",
"Cache In Trash Out Event",
"Virtual Cache",
"Webcam Cache",
"Lost and Found Event Cache",
"Locationless (Reverse) Cache",
"Mega-Event Cache",
"GPS Adventures Exhibit",
"Groundspeak Block Party",
"Giga-Event Cache",
"Groundspeak HQ",
"Groundspeak Lost and Found Celebration"

Based on the above I made the followind checker
[Team OPJim](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=Team%20OPJim) has used [Project-GC](http://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC6YE23/24137 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if he/she qualified for this challenge and he/she did.

OK: AND{
User has 3292 finds (3000 needed).Filters:()
User has 459 finds (300 needed).Filters:( types (Unknown Cache , Multi-cache , Letterbox Hybrid , Wherigo Cache , Project APE Cache) )
User has 331 finds (300 needed).Filters:( types (Event Cache , Earthcache , Cache In Trash Out Event , Virtual Cache , Webcam Cache , Lost and Found Event Cache , Locationless (Reverse) Cache , Mega-Event Cache , GPS Adventures Exhibit , Groundspeak Block Party , Giga-Event Cache , Groundspeak HQ , Groundspeak Lost and Found Celebration) )
}

The link to the checker is http://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC6YE23/24137
Please confirm that this is the checker you require

I agree with your interpretation of physical and nonphysical caches, and appreciate you going ahead and making it!

Not to split hairs, since it's only one cache, but I'd classify Geocaching HQ as a physical geocache. The cache container sits in the front lobby of HQ. It's a huge treasure chest with a nice logbook. I was the seventh finder back in 2004, and I've visited the "cache" six times since then. :)

One cache out of three hundred isn't enough to get worked up about
