[Resolved] Date-Difficulty-Terrain Bingo GC4B8DD - and Also "Coverall" Variant GC9TC15

I have two (related) challenge checker requests:

  1. I am trying to find if an existing challenge checker exists for the current challenge cache "Date-Difficulty-Terrain Bingo Challenge" (GC4B8DD). I have tried to search for an existing checker for this challenge but have not found one, although it seems likely to me that a checker must have already been written for this idea.

Basic premise is to get a "bingo" (a line of "5 in a row" whether horizontal, vertical, or diagonal) on a bingo card (see https://s3.amazonaws.com/gs-geo-images/b377023c-edaf-4073-9c6a-eb41871b200f_l.jpg for a sample card) by finding a cache of the needed D/T combination (difficulty/terrain) on the appropriate month/day. (i.e. find a 5/5 cache on May 5th). This criteria would be cumulative over all prior years.
    .
  2. I would also like to have a "coverall" version of the same idea, for which a cacher would need to find a cache of the appropriate D/T on each Day/Month for all 25 integer D/T combinations. (i.e, a D/T 1/1 cache on Jan 1st, a D/T 1/2 cache on Jan 2nd, etc., all the way through a D/T 5/5 cache on May 5th.) This checker would be for a potential new challenge cache, and would probably actually be an easier checker to write than the bingo (5-in-a-line) version. If a checker does not already exist for GC4B8DD, the "coverall" version is the only one which would be needed for a new challenge cache. The GC Code for this potential future cache would be GC9TC15.

Thanks!

Here is the link for GC9TC15 https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC9TC15/68587 but I doubt if you find enough qualifiers in your local area to get the challenge published

Please test and reply

For GC4B8DD is no script which will allow for a bingo condition and I do not think that a scriptwriter is willing to spend much time on this
Thanks, vogelbird, for the quick creation of the checker for the GC9TC15 Date-Difficulty-Terrain "Coverall" Challenge (without the "bingo" portion)! That was faster than I could have imagined!

I don't know if this would be of any help, but rather than really coding a script to know about a "bingo card," the existing "Bingo" challenge (GC4B8DD) could be thought of as needing to complete 1 of the 12 following options:

Row 1: D/T of 1/1 on Jan 1; D/T of 1/2 on Jan 2; D/T of 1/3 on Jan 3; D/T of 1/4 on Jan 4; D/T of 1/5 on Jan 5
Row 2: 2/1 on Feb 1; 2/2 on Feb 2; 2/3 on Feb 3; 2/4 on Feb 4; 2/5 on Feb 5
Row 3: 3/1 on Mar 1; 3/2 on Mar 2; 3/3 on Mar 3; 3/4 on Mar 4; 3/5 on Mar 5
Row 4: 4/1 on Apr 1; 4/2 on Apr 2; 4/3 on Apr 3; 4/4 on Apr 4; 4/5 on Apr 5
Row 5: 5/1 on May 1; 5/2 on May 2; 5/3 on May 3; 5/4 on May 4; 5/5 on May 5
Column 1: 1/1 on Jan 1; 2/1 on Feb 1; 3/1 on Mar 1; 4/1 on Apr 1; 5/1 on May 1
Column 2: 1/2 on Jan 2; 2/2 on Feb 2; 3/2 on Mar 2; 4/2 on Apr 2; 5/2 on May 2
Column 3: 1/3 on Jan 3; 2/3 on Feb 3; 3/3 on Mar 3; 4/3 on Apr 3; 5/3 on May 3
Column 4: 1/4 on Jan 4; 2/4 on Feb 4; 3/4 on Mar 4; 4/4 on Apr 4; 5/4 on May 4
Column 5: 1/5 on Jan 5; 2/5 on Feb 5; 3/5 on Mar 5; 4/5 on Apr 5; 5/5 on May 5
Diagonal 1: 1/1 on Jan 1; 2/2 on Feb 2; 3/3 on Mar 3; 4/4 on Apr 4; 5/5 on May 5
Diagonal 2: 1/5 on Jan 5; 2/4 on Feb 4; 3/3 on Mar 3; 4/2 on Apr 2; 5/1 on May 1

Completing at least 1 of the 12 options above would qualify for the "Bingo" challenge. It's kind of a "brute force" solution, but seems like it could work and be easier to code.

You suggestion does not work but I managed to make the bingo with another script

Vogelbird, THANKS SO MUCH!

We tested the Date-Difficulty-Terrain Bingo GC4B8DD checker you created, and it seems to be working correctly! We validated that it works for a bunch of the previous finders of the cache, correctly identifies a few "close but not quite" situations, and also correctly "fails" for cachers that haven't completed the challenge.

Thanks again!

We should also mention that we particularly appreciate how on the "Coverall" version you made the output identify the caches that were found which qualify the user for the challenge -- that was very well done, and we appreciate it!

We look forward to submitting our planned "Coverall" cache for publication -- by using the checker we've been able to identify about ten cachers in our local area which qualify for the Coverall. Thank you!
